Berndt Schalin joins Northern Europe Energy Group as a Senior Advisor, bringing more than 30 years of experience in energy, technology, corporate management, investments and strategic advisory.
His particular focus is on the clean energy transition, renewable energy, hydrogen and the transformation of energy-intensive industries. He combines extensive senior operational experience with a strong track record in investment, business development and strategic advisory across the Nordic energy sector and beyond.
Berndt’s career includes leading roles at Flexens, Efore, Powernet and Helvar, investment leadership at 3i and advisory work at KPMG. He has also held numerous board positions and has been involved in more than ten M&A and funding transactions, including several in the energy technology sector.
As part of the Northern Energy team, Berndt contributes his experience and Nordic network to selected client engagements and strategic initiatives. He continues to work on board assignments and advisory in his areas of expertise.
